"For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven."
(Psalm 119:89)

In a world where Christianity is scoffed at and the Bible ridiculed as fable, Christians need to know and share with others the truths of the faith.

The Bible is the Christian soldier's sword. As a soldier of the cross, Christians need to know their weapon and how to use it.

Here are some fascinating facts about the Bible and the Truth that it contains.

-The Bible was written by over 40 divinely inspired authors including people such as fishermen, kings, and even a former tax collector.
-The Bible was written over 40 generations spanning over 1500 years.
-The Bible was written on three continents: Asia, Africa, and Europe.
-The Bible was written in three original languages: Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek.
-The Bible was the first book printed on the printing press by Gutenberg in 1456.
-The Bible has been translated into more languages and dialects than any other book (over 1,000).
-The Bible is the number one best-seller world-wide with one hundred million new copies (in whole or in part) printed each year.
-The Bible includes a wide range of literature including: romance, history, allegory, poetry, and prophecy.
-The Bible was written during times of war and peace, and conveys all ranges of emotion from despair to joy.
-The Bible is both historically and scientifically accurate.
-The Bible is the basis of the American legal system.
-The Bible gives the story of God's love to mankind and the ultimate expression of His love in the gift of His Son Jesus.
-The Bible is the Christian's guide for life and is the only true source of hope.

These are only a few of the facts that prove the validity of the Bible. Evil men have tried and continue to try to eliminate the Bible from the world, but their efforts have only succeeded in making the Bible spread faster and further than before.

Despite the vast range of authors, languages, continents, and time, the Bible has been and continues to be proven true and accurate. Even with the large number of authors, the Bible is still 100 percent correct and without error because God was the One behind its arrangement. No other book has survived or prospered as the Bible has. This is because it is The Word of God.

The Bible presents the world with irrefutable facts, the most important of which is the fact of Jesus' life, death, burial, and resurrection. The Bible gives the message of hope of forgiveness from sin and assurance of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Everyone must decide what he or she will do with the facts presented in the Bible for they truly present evidence that demands a verdict.
