The Veterans Day chapel was a tribute to our armed forces. Major Youstra, U.S. Air Force chaplain, served as emcee for the service. The MacDill Air Force Base Honor Guard presented the colors, while the student body sang "The Star Spangled Banner."
In a demonstration of the ceremonial flag-folding, members of the Honor Guard folded the flag as Major Youstra explained the significance of each fold. Major Youstra then gave a treatise imploring the college family to commit to a life of service to their country and their Lord.
It was a blessing to have Major Youstra and the Honor Guard present for the Veteran's Day chapel service. We echo their message of patriotism as we honor our troops, active and retired, on this Veterans' Day.
