The day began with testimonies in chapel from graduates Anthony Wilson (2004), David Ray (1979), and Suzy Llerena (1993). 1988 graduate Matt Trill preached the chapel message. Matt is currently the senior pastor at New Testament Baptist Church in Largo.
Also alumni served as guest speakers in classrooms throughout the day. Maribeth Trill and Sarah (Puckett) Taylor spoke in Dr. Nichol's Music Theory and Music History classes. Mrs. Trill, the wife of Matt Trill, was a music major in the 1989 CCC graduating class. She became an elementary music teacher until her husband became senior pastor at New Testament. Sarah Taylor, daughter of Ben Puckett, Dean of Enrollment Services, also teaches elementary music. Both shared how God worked in their lives before and after graduating from Clearwater.
According to coordinator Rev. David Drury, the day was a success and alumni cannot wait to come back next year for another Teach-In. No matter what their professions or where they had moved, each graduate showed evidence of living for Jesus and ministering to the world for Christ.
