Jim and Carol Shores

The Christian drama team "Acts of Renewal" returned to CCC Tuesday, February 12, 2008, for an Artist Series. The team featured husband and wife Jim Shores and Carol Anderson-Shores, who travel the country to perform in schools, churches and conferences.

The Shores have been active in this ministry for many years. In fact, drama actually brought them together. According to the couple, they "met while working at the A.D. Players Christian theatre company in Houston, dated four years, then married in 1992."

In addition to live performances, Jim and Carol have been active in other media productions. Carol aired a show on public television about eating disorders. Her voice has also been heard in installments of Focus on the Family's "Adventures in Odyssey." Both Jim and Carol have worked on the "FamilyLife[sic] Today" radio show.

The Shores have made clear their focus: "Since our relationship with Jesus Christ is the number one priority in our lives, we have used our talents in professional theatre from a Christian world view."

Their mission statement reveals the foundation for each performance: "We want to create and produce excellent Christian theatre that glorifies God and challenges people to seek God through Christ for hope and meaning."
