It is quickly apparent, however, that Clearwater Christian College and its professors have had an impact on Jared's life. Linbach said,"The commitment to education and excellence portrayed by the psychology faculty members David Richter and Kristen DeWitt, is fabulous. Both professors care and want to see their students succeed to the glory of God."
When asked about Jared, Richter said, "In my experience, Jared loves the Word of God and believes in the power of Christ in his daily living; he lives out the invaluable character trait of integrity."
Richter said that Linbach respects that what others might assume was an insignificant detail "might actually be a very important aspect of solving a problem. Jared has taken the initiative to help others, was industrious and conscientious, and never sought control, but when leadership was needed within some group, he was willing to provide that without seeking any glory."
Jared said he gained a valuable education from his professors at Clearwater Christian College: "Without the diligence and encouragement from Drs. Richter and DeWitt, I would not have gained the necessary knowledge and study skills to make it even one semester in graduate school. Though their ways are different from my ways, theirs have been tested through the fire of time and still stand strong because of the level of dedication both of them have to God first and their students second."
In his closing comments, Jared cited a verse appropriate for his experience: "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord" (I Corinthians 15:58).
