As preparation for the 2008-2009 new yearbook began, the student staff, along with advisors Mrs. Munro and Mr. Steve Haught, attended a yearbook camp hosted by Taylor Publishing. At this camp, the staff learned many skills in the workshops, from photography tips to information on article ideas.
When they returned to campus, they assigned pages and deadlines and brainstormed ideas to make the new yearbook exciting.
The staff this year includes the editor, senior BeckiJo Wood, and staff members Annette Dzedzy, Laura Broderick, Joy Morrill, Shalom Ocampo, and Jennifer Duncan. They look forward to creating yet another memorable yearbook.
BeckiJo said, "I am always excited by the prospect of a brand new year and a brand new yearbook to accompany it."
"I am also excited to see what unexpected campus-related activities pop up, like the 'hurricane' evacuation that turned out to be nothing more than a mini-vacation for most students. The evacuation gave us something different to cover this year."
"The presidential election in November will also give us something to cover that hasn't been covered in four years. Overall, I am excited about the yearbook because we have the chance to make this one the best yet."
