From Indiana to Ohio, Kansas to California, and Colorado to Pennsylvania, the 2008 Summer Music Ministry Team crossed many U.S. state lines to serve and minister in various churches, camps, and Christian schools.

Seven Clearwater Christian College students - Josh Hoag, Paul Conrad, Austin McCoy, Scott Willequette, Andy Jaspers, Ryan Blakemore, and Luke Harding - spent the majority of their summer singing and playing musical instruments.

Many churches expressed appreciation for the music and testimony of the team. Paul Conrad explains "It seemed sometimes that God just put the group in the right church at the right time" enabling them to serve and encourage the people.

According to senior Josh Hoag, the team experienced a wide range of diverse personalities; all were able to work well together. Josh explained that as they drove thousands of miles, the team had the time to share not only how God was working in their own lives, but also what they were learning from God's Word. The trip spiritually encouraged the individual members of the team.

Ryan Blakemore, a junior, explained one of the lessons that God taught him about humility. He found himself doing odd jobs that seemingly had no value to him. During these times, God showed Ryan that he needed humbling, showing deference to those who needed him, instead of caring about his own desires.

As the month of July came to a close, the team ministered to its last camp before completing the tour. They will continue to minister in area churches throughout the fall semester, but the team's active traveling is finished. However, they will have treasured memories of the people they met and of God's faithfulness.
